Neurocam
Turning Everyday Moments Into Actionable Understanding.
AI-powered behavioral insights for autism support. Our privacy-first camera kit analyzes video in your home — only behavioral metadata ever reaches the cloud — so families and therapists see the whole picture, not just the hour in the clinic.
The challenge
Everyday life holds the answers. It's hard to see them.
A 60-minute snapshot of a 168-hour week
Clinic sessions capture 30–60 minutes a week. The moments that matter most happen at home — at breakfast, at bedtime, on a loud afternoon.
Scattered notes, videos and sleep logs
Caregivers juggle paper logs, phone videos and app exports. By the next appointment, the details are fuzzy and hard to compare.
Triggers noticed too late
Patterns like poor sleep before a hard morning, or noise before distress, are easy to miss day to day — and easy to support once seen.
How it works
From everyday moments to clear next steps
- Step 1
Set up the camera kit
Place Neurocam cameras where your family chooses — or connect compatible cameras you already own through the Neurocam Hub.
- Step 2
Analysis stays in your home
Video and audio are analyzed on the camera or hub. Only behavioral metadata — what, when, how long — is sent. Raw footage is never uploaded.
- Step 3
See the timeline and patterns
A searchable behavioral timeline and a pattern engine that surfaces associations in your child's own data, with honest statistics.
- Step 4
Share with your care team
Daily, weekly and monthly reports and timely alerts — shared only with the therapists and caregivers you invite.
Features
Everything your care team needs, in one calm place
Neurocam turns observations into understanding you can act on — and shows exactly how confident each insight is.
64% of dysregulation episodes began within 60 minutes after loud noise — 3.4× the time-of-day baseline.
n = 47 episodes · p < 0.001 · An association in this child's data, not proof of cause.
Progress dashboard
Communication, socialization, sleep, sensory and emotional-regulation indicators, compared with recent weeks.
Behavioral timeline
A searchable life-log of observations from cameras, sensors and the care team, filterable by zone, category and confidence.
Pattern & trigger discovery
Temporal and day-level patterns with sample sizes and evidence strength — associations, never overclaimed causes.
Daily, weekly & monthly reports
Plain-language summaries ready to bring to your next session, checked against guardrails for respectful language.
Email alerts
Opt-in alerts for the moments you choose, with double opt-in recipients and privacy-preserving email content by default.
Therapist portal
Goals linked to observed metrics, encrypted clinical notes and a multi-child caseload view for clinicians.
Privacy & security
Built to meet HIPAA requirements
Your child's everyday life is private. Neurocam is designed so that the most sensitive data — video and audio — never leaves your home, and everything else is protected by layered safeguards.
Video and audio processed on-device
Analysis runs on the camera or hub. Raw footage is never uploaded.
Family-controlled consent
You choose recording zones, schedules, retention and who it's shared with.
Encryption in transit and at rest
TLS with HSTS for every connection; sensitive fields encrypted in storage.
MFA and automatic logoff
Multi-factor authentication, and sessions end after 15 minutes of inactivity.
Role-based, minimum-necessary access
Each person sees only what their role requires. Admins can't view child data.
Tamper-evident audit logs
Every view and change is recorded, and families can review their access log.
Export and deletion on request
Download your data at any time, or permanently delete a profile.

Our principles
Supports decisions — never makes them
Neurocam describes what was observed, with neurodiversity-affirming language and honest uncertainty. The people who know your child best stay in charge of every decision.
- Does not diagnose
- Does not prescribe
- Does not replace clinicians
- No facial recognition
- No data selling — ever
Our mission
“Neurocam helps researchers measure what matters in daily life, so treatments for distress, sleep and co-occurring conditions can be tested faster, and every family can see what actually helps their child.”
Measures that reflect real life
Everyday measures of regulation, sleep, communication and engagement — recorded at home, not just in a clinic visit or a questionnaire.
Faster, smaller studies
Sensitive, continuous measures can show sooner whether a treatment for distress, sleep or a co-occurring condition is working.
Co-occurring needs, not just behaviors
Sleep problems, anxiety, epilepsy and pain often sit behind hard days. Patterns help families and clinicians look for causes that can be treated.
What helps each child
Families see which routines, supports and therapies line up with better days — evidence for their own child, shared with their care team.
Taking part in research is always optional. It needs a family's separate consent, studies are reviewed by an independent ethics board, and data is de-identified before it is shared. We work with autistic advisors and clinicians on what is measured — and we don't treat autism as something to cure.
Who it's for

Hardware kits
Everything you need, analyzed at home
Each kit includes a Neurocam hub that runs the AI locally — video never leaves your home — plus cameras and everything to install them. Already have compatible cameras? Choose the hub that fits your number of rooms.
Kits are hardware only; a Neurocam subscription is required. Neurocam supports care decisions and is not a medical device. Secure checkout is handled by our payment provider — we never see your card details.

FAQ
Questions families ask
Is video uploaded to the cloud?
No. Video and audio are analyzed on the Neurocam camera or hub inside your home. Only behavioral metadata — for example “joint attention, 2 minutes, playroom, 90% confidence” — is uploaded. Families can also limit how long the camera keeps its short local buffer.
Who can see my child's data?
Only the people you invite to your child's care team, with the access level you choose. You can turn off sharing with clinicians at any moment, and every view is recorded in an access log you can review. Neurocam administrators cannot view child data.
Is this a diagnostic tool?
No. Neurocam does not diagnose, prescribe or replace professional clinical judgment. It provides observational insights to support conversations and decisions made by families and their care teams.
Can I use my own cameras?
Yes, with the Neurocam Hub. Cameras that offer a local RTSP/ONVIF stream — such as Reolink, Amcrest and TP-Link Tapo — are analyzed on the hub inside your home. Cloud-only cameras like Ring and Nest need partner integrations that are in progress.
How do I delete my data?
From your child's Privacy page you can export a copy of all data or permanently delete the profile and every observation, report, goal and note. You can also set an automatic retention period.
Is Neurocam HIPAA-ready?
Neurocam is built to meet HIPAA's technical safeguards — on-device video processing, encryption in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication, automatic logoff, role-based access and audit logging. Clinical partners can contact us about a Business Associate Agreement.
